Here is the inspiration:

The P&M C6RS in black. I will not be doing any body mods.... Just following the color combination.
The wheels on the C6RS are BBS with a "Metalite" coating. It has the look of black chrome.

To simulate this, the wheels were stripped, shot with TS-14 black and given a dusting of alclad chrome.

Jumping ahead to mock up shots... I detailed and installed the brakes and added red hash marks seen on Grand sports and C6-Rs..... I hope I can get this stance!! I will be adding lots of CF to the car as well..... Paint is Tamiya Grey primer, TS-14 Black and dupont 2k clear

That looks sweet! Nice work on the wheels.
Did you know that Road & Track has an article with some pictures of this car in the mag? Probably get more content online at R&T.
Can't wait to see you finish it.

That car is badass! Would love a set of those wheels in 1/24 scale. The model is looking awesome so far.
Hmmmm...another potential paint scheme for the Jada kit that I snagged. :D

Thanks Bob.... My buddy Jay Savarese is doing the Ron Fellows edition C6RS with the Jada kit. He painted it pearl white with Mica Red Stripes.... We will have these in Atlanta for all to see....
Here is a link to the 1:1 car.....

Take a look at the hash stripes in the gallery.... not only painted, but they have all of Fellows champ years in the stripes....
These cars are basically Street legal C6-R's body wise and boast a 650HP E85 "Green friendly" Powerplant......

Wow, that's a perfect use for the Jada kit...the thick lower body on the Jada looks much like the C6RS...
And Corvettes look awesome in white too...

I agree.... I really liked what you did with the GT500 so I would grab a box of popcorn and sit back and watch what you do with the Vette.... :) I wanted to do the Fellows version myself but Jay beat me to it... I still may do it anyways!!! :D

The stripes on the street Ron Fellows Edition are tape. They are printed with his name, the Maple Leaf, and his championship years, but they came packed in the car. I've seen them with and without the stripes.
Here (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1999394&highlight=Ron+Fellows+Stripes) is a close up of the actual GM tape stripe from the Ron Fellows Edition. The beginning of he thread shows them on a black C6 and further down they are on an Actual RFE Z06.
Also, here is a site (http://www.vettestripes.com/c6z06fender.html) with a Corvette very similar to the one you are building.

This really looks good and looking forward to seeing it in person. I think a historic Vette race car in either color combo would be an interesting build.

The 'Vette is very cool-speaking of cool, does being a Miami Beach resident qualify me as a Florida Division member?

Thanks guys.... interior is done!
Tamiya acrylics, CF, and some stock seatbelts finished it off. I was going to use flocking... but it wont be seen!

Here is why I did not flock the interior. I did all the glass and used tamiya smoke on the rear window. Just 2 light coats and its dark! These pics give you an idea of the red and black and how nice they blend.......

I agree about it looking really good.
But I like white 'Vettes just as much, and I know from personal experience that white is a far easier color to deal with on a daily basis. Black paint shows every bit of dust, every tiny imperfection. They look great when clean and shiny, but it's a high-maintenance relationship, for sure.

Yeah, but mine's not white either. I like the Arctic White color on Corvettes too. The dealer got a white one in with the same options on mine about a week after I bought mine. I would have bought that one over mine.

Thanks guys.....
I tinted the covers but it is not that noticeable over black.... >:(
I also made an extended splitter covered in CF and clear ;) Only needs fog light lenses and housings and the front end is done!

Rear tails and third brake light are in....
http://images39.fotki.com/v1232/photos/3/335511/6313447/P1010024-vi.jpg
I also painted the floor pan chassis and added CF to the rear valance. The airbox is all CF and I painted the intake, and valve covers bright red and all of it was cleared.....
