Taillights look a little small, could be more outboard front running light on backwards on test shot, a bit high on painted car. Doorhandle a bit high. Rear tires need to be bigger than fronts, usually 6.50 F, 7.50 R.
A couple pics of a very very correct one to compare.
Please don't repost the 1:1 pics.
Going to be nice, though I love Italeri. Gunze rear end/wheelwell just wrong.

You could be right, but I would guess that all of the cars are different just like Cobra Daytonas. It's real hard to determine accuracy on cars like this.

True, but I've seen better than 1/2 the 1:1's up close, ridden in a couple. There are several unmolested examples still out there, and one car was rebuilt around a tach needle :D.
Fortunate enough to be FCA concours exhibiter and ex-vintage racer. Even the repops are fairly easily detected, if you know where to look. If I ever get time to scan years of analog pics, I have lots of documentation. SWB's and Cal's are another "got to see a bunch to know them" cars.

PS, 2 great ref books, hard to find but worth it: I Love GTO, the 30th anniversary tour, I haven't seen one for the 40th yet. Pourrets 250 book also outstanding, lots of pics. Joel Finn's Testa Rossa book is also a must have. Hardbounds impossible to find, but softbound reprints not idiotic $.

OK, for those of us who hate red Ferraris save for F1 cars, 15/36 were delivered in non-Rosso Cina (Not rosso corsa). 21 were Rosso Cina. I have 2 Cina cars on this list, one was presentation car, was repainted before delivery, and one had factory French tri-color. Ref. Pourret GTO book
3223: 1st "production" car, presented in Rosso Cina with Italian Tricolore. Repainted Blu Gentiana Met. with white stripe before delivery to Chinetti
3387: 2nd prod. car, Blu Gentiana Met. with white stripe
3451: Marrone, Bianco roof (header to rear window above where drip rails would be).
3505: Pale Green
3589: Blu Scuro
3705: Rosso Cina with French tricolore B/W/R as viewed from front
3729: Bianco
3767: BP Dark Green
3769: Argento Met. with blue stripe
3851: Grigio Met.
3909: Grigio Met.
4091: Grigio Met.
4115: Grigio Met.
4153: Grigio Met. with French Tri-colore B/W/R
4491: BP Dark Green
Everything else including the 3 330 GTO's and the 4 330 LMB's were all Rosso Cina. Also 5571, 5573, and 5575, the "64 GTO's".
Many were repainted soon after delivery, but these are the build sheet colors.

3505 was UDT-Laystall/Innes Ireland/Stirling Moss. Piper's cars are always BP green, 3767 initially in late '62. 4491 was heavily modifed by Piper, front of roof chopped, rear spoiler changed, piper raced it a lot, was very fast, called the "lowline". Here's a rear pic of 4491, and 3767 color ref with Penske in LMB behind David P
BTW, the modded 4491 looks like a Cobra Daytona coupe from rear IMO.
Sorry, but I really love/know these cars. Colombo 12 was the best. GTO/SWB/TdF pinnacle of FE, 250LM/250-275P pinnacle of ME.

Here are some more shots of all 3 styles (Series 1, Series 2, and breadvan) parked side by side in France. These are copies of prints (I cant find the originals). All are in Chinese (China) red.

Just received my kit.
Upon first look through the box I'd bet every 250 GTO fan will be happy with the kit.
The body looks great...nothing jumps out at me as looking 'wrong'...definitely the best plastic GTO to date.
I was most skeptical about the wire rims...but I honestly think for those do not opt for P/E ones they could look plenty good if stripped of the factory plating and painted properly. They are narrow width which are mostly seen on the front of GTO's that have wider rears. Some GTO's have same width rims at all four corners and seem to be wider the the kit ones IMO.
Overall if the frame parts aren't warped etc. it should be a joy to build and make a fine example of the real legendary car.

Didn't have much time to give the kit a full anal exam last eve due to working late etc.
Took a couple pics comparing the Fujimi body(far right) with the Italeri, Gunze and Protar. All bodies have the same wheelbase but that's where the similarities end pretty much. The Italeri body is closest to the Fuji in proportion but the Fuji body has the subtle shapes that the Italeri is missing.
The Fuji body is more narrow at the rear wheel opening center line than the rest of the bodies but it's a bit wider at the front than the Italeri. The Gunze body is largest in all it's dimensions.
Not much more I can add about the body...in my view the Fuji is the best one of all. Anyone who likes the Italeri kit will love the Fuji which is better in every way.
Took a couple of tree shots...as you can see the parts are nice and delicate...nothing heavy handed in this kit. I clipped the tube frame from the tree and the interior floor and installed it in the body....it fit perfect, no warp effect.
