Folks:

Bob Downie & I came across this at an O'Reily's Auto Parts store last night and I wanted to pass the information along. Many use people use Evercoat 2 part spot putty for working on models but find it hard to locate, expensive, and typically dries out before you can use all of it. The last time I purchased it I paid over $30.00 before shipping.

Dynatron Putty-Cote is similar as it is a 2 part system, but is available through a local supplier (if your O'Reily's doesn't have it in stock ask them for it and it will be in the store within 2 days) and cost less $16.00 for a quart container. I found a picture of it on the internet but the quality isn't all that great.

I'll give it a try sometime soon and pst the results.

I've heard it's great stuff; and you can't really go wrong when it costs half as much as Evercoat; my last quart of Evercoat was almost $32 with tax.

This crap is like superglue though, you'll never use the container up before it dries out

Actually, I am their "secret shopper" and told them they were selling this stuff way to cheap!!!! Just kidding. Do you want me to check the one in Alpharetta for you?

Why not divide up the container among friends? Addditional hardener is cheap. In some cases, they'll give you and extra small tube. I have found that the small attached hardener tubes are not sufficient for 32 oz. of resin anyway.

Not a bad idea, we would need some additional airtight containers which would not be a problem.
