New Testors One Step Lacquers

Testors expanded the line of One-Step Metallic paints by adding the following colors:

Flaming Orange
Purple-Licious
Star Spangled Blue
Electric Pink
Icy Blue
Mystic Emerald
Pure Gold
Bronze
Root Beer
Graphite.

Hopefully I can shoot a "spoon test" of each color before Sunday's meeting and bring them along and I'll update the thread with additional details as well.

Some interesting colors there. After the last test we did with their first round of colors overshot with some Tamiya transparent colors we got some really nice effects.

I can see a use for several of these colors as well.

Last weekend I performed the "spoon" test on each of the colors and overall I like them except for Icey Blue, a very light blue color with larger than expected metallic flakes, making this either a candidate for a metalflake finish, use on a larger scale kit, or on a bass boat. all the paints were sprayed directly onto the spoons with no primer/barrier applied. I did not experience crazing on any of the spoons and all of the paints covered quite well. For colors such as Icey Blue or if you believe the metallic is just too much you can overcoat these with a coat of transparent color to tone them down. This worked well on the Icey Blue overcoated with Tamiya clear blue. Overall I would suggest testing these on a spoon first to examine the color, etc.
