With less than 40 days left to the 2008 NNL it is time to begin finishing up your projects, deciding what models to display, and make your "wish list" of items to hunt for while visting the many vendors who will be attending.
Thjis years thems of Mopars & Mercedes alongwith the web-theme (motorcylces) should bring a great variety of cars to the show. Personally, I think we are going to be surprised by the number of motorcycles this year.
Do not forget about the hospitality suite at the Holiday Inn on Friday & Saturday night.
See you there.

The Dragon......
As I said, I'm on a self imposed exile for awhile.
Doing penance.

I didn't take photos, but Matt took pics of everything except the big award winners, and Gary Kulchock and his crew took pics, they'll be up by tomorrow night.
It was an awesome show! The show tables were almost full by 10:30, the Mercedes and motorcycle tables were the only ones not packed, yet there were more motorcycles at the show than we've ever seen before at any other show, and there was a great turnout of Mercedes...but Mopar was a smash hit.
I'll post the winners tomorrow. David Morton won best in show and the Augie Hiscano award for his Peterbilt show truck.
I sold a ton of stuff, and snagged one grail, an Italeri 250 SWB, also got a set of HRM's 275 GTB/NART Spyder road wheels and tires, Scale Production Audi RS4 rims, AAM resin MGB GT and Aoshima MGB Club Sport racer (will combine the two for a racing GT), and the Digger Barracuda funny car that was just reissued, and some Crazy Modeler emblems and expanded metal that will help me make the Lotus Exige in 1/24 scale.

Sounds like lots of fun Bob. I'm really disappointed I couldn't make it again this year but I just didn't have the funds to be there. Looking forward to pics and stories.

It sure was difficult sitting through those training seesions Friday and Saturday knowing where I'd rather be but it's done now and I'm looking forward to next years show... if things work out well I'll have something special for 2009.

Two words: vendor table.
Those of us who did some closet cleaning of stuff we'll never build, offered at "priced to sell" prices, did amazingly well yesterday. I was shocked with my total, and Kevin did better than last year. You could have come to the show, sold some stuff, bought some stuff, and still gone home with well ahead of the game.
