January '06 Modelpallooza

Yesterday some ACME and CARS members got together at Brians house. We enjoyed the 24 hour Daytona race, and some model building fun.

Mike actually finished a car this year, a gorgeous Mercedes CLR. His IROC car was sprayed in blue.
Brian was busy sculpting his newest creation.
Danny got real close to putting the finishing touches on an awesome yellow Carrera GT. He also got his IROC porsche in paint.
Eric cleaned up parts to a 917 kit.
Henry polished up a VW van, and worked on the Porsche Pig test car.
Hal started work on some new kits, and brought some very good homemade Salsa with him.
I polished up a Porsche 928 and a Nissan skyline.

The Porsche display is going to be great! I look forward to seeing the rest of the field come together as more people start their cars.

What you don't see in the 1st picture is that we're all wearing hip waders at this point because the stories were getting pretty deep! And I wonder if anyone has noticed the Skittles in the other pictures?
I had a blast and I wish I could have stayed a little longer but I had to get home to work on some models hehehehehe!

Hey guys. This is Danny. Mike and I had a blast and want to thank Brian for his hospitality. We actually got some progress done on our projects amidst all the pallozing going on!!!!!!!! The IROC cars are looking great and I know it's gonna be a great looking display when all is done. Oh yeah, there was a race going on too!!!!!!!!!:D :D

Wish I could have been there, looks like it was fun as usual. Killer row of IROC's, should have given someone the two I've got painted (Revson car and the black backup car) for that group photo.

Dunno 'bout anyone else, but at this point I have the itch to build more than one IROC Porsche...anyone up for doing the final 6??
