After building two of them (05 GT and 08 KR) and a third chassis w/body for a photo prop, I finally clued into why they all seem to sit too high in front w/o modification.
My prop chassis didn't have the front struts. Ride height, even w/the tall OOB wheel/tire combo, was spot-on. When I went to fit the struts, voila...they are too tall, they push the lower A arm downwards into mud-bogging territory.
Snip a coil or two from the tops of the front struts and it should sit pretty good, right from the box. If you want to lower it further, cut down the retainer on the back of the rotors so they'll glue up higher. Piece of cake :D
