Some of you guys should remember me. I still receive e-mail from the club and I used to run the original ACME website. I'm Mike Crespi. I'm back in GA, in Columbus. A bit far for the meeting but I hope to make the NNL this year. Can we post pictures of our stuff here? I have mine photo-hosted at Photobucket. That's the link I put as my "homepage" since I really don't have any kind of a homepage because I dont' have a personal website.

You probably see me post a lot at Hobby Heaven and Brain's Model Cars forums too.

Hi Mike!

Good to see you here....you should be able to link your pics....I'm not familiar with using Photobucket though.

I use Photobucket also, they do allow linking to forums and such...

I'm in Peachtree City, any good hobby shops in Columbus?

All there is in Columbus is a Hobbytown USA. But there is Hobby Lobby, Michaels Art Supply and Walmart and Kmart have kits too. I have enough kits in the closet although there are other modelers that have many more than me. For the best prices it would be Hobby Lobby when they have a 40% off coupon in the paper which they do frequently enough. Michaels also prints 40% off coupons frequently enough. Then sometimes Hobby Lobby runs 50% off on all plastic kits. I recently picked up the Tamiya Enzo Ferrari for 26 bucks that way. Now I need the Scale Motorsports photo etched or super kit for it.

Mike:

Glad to hear from you. Columbus is a bit of drive but it would be great to see you at some meetings. Be sure to send some pictures so we can include you on the Fotki site.

I'll be glad to send some. Who should I e-mail my pictures to? And how big should they be? I have a new camera, a 5 Mp Konica Minolta Dimage Z5 model. I can of course reduce the sizes for e-mailing/posting.

You can send them via private message to BRE350Z or Matt Wadlinger/CADguy; he's the ACME VP and has access to the Fotki site. He has a T1 connection @ work so he can quickly upload big pics; what we see linked from fotki to this page maxes out at 800 X 800 regardless.

Welcome Mike.

If you can upload pics to a Photobucket folder, and send me the link by private message or email, it would be easy for me to grab them and add them to our Fotki site.

That sounds good. In fact I have a lot of my stuff in Photobucket already. I put large size images there, large enough to fill a monitor. I'll send you the link later, I'm at work now, it's my lunch break.
