Model Roundup Open House for ACME members

I just got off the phone with Jack, we've penciled in Saturday May 30th for the Model Roundup open house for ACME members.

More information will be sent later, preliminary details:

Noon-3PM

Address: 4589 Winters Chapel Road, Atlanta (Doraville) GA. Look for the "Bramble Now" furniture store sign, they are in the same basic location, at the end of an industrial park driveway off of Winters Chapel.

If there's something you want from their catalog that's not considered a new release, you should call them ahead of time to make sure the product is at the warehouse as they keep some product lines and the vintage stuff at the condo location.

This coming Saturday, May 30th, is the open house at Model Roundup, the first from their new warehouse. It is from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM.

The new warehouse address is 4589 Winters Chapel Rd, and they are next door to Bramble Furniture. The warehouse complex is almost across Winters Chapel from the QT at the corner of Winters Chapel and Peachtree Industrial. From Peachtree Industrial north (access road) turn right on Winters Chapel @ the QT, the driveway for 4589 is the 2nd driveway on the left past Amwiler Road (which is directly across from the QT). Go down the driveway and the warehouse is on the left.

Since not all items are housed at the warehouse, I suggest ACME members email special requests to Jack at roundup@mindspring.com These are special requests from their online catalog.

Jack and the guys at Model Roundup are looking forward to hosting the gang again. You'll be able to get a sneak peak of Revell's new 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 kit that is due out very soon, and you'll be able to compare it to AMT's new Challenger R/T.

The meetings are the first Sunday of every month. The June meeting will be on the 7th.

We have a small event calendar at the bottom of the main Forum page. It will list the meeting dates.

Thanks to Jack and the crew at Model Roundup, we had a great open house today and he sold quite a few models. Good thing a Grand Marquis has a huge trunk, Harry and Harrison will have plenty to work on until they're 537 years old :D

AMT Challengers were 10 bucks each, so I got the SRT and another R/T.

We had a big crew for lunch afterwards at JR's.
