If anyone doesn't know this already, the Hemi Under Glass kit just reissued by AMT is the exact same one that was issued by Model King about a year or so ago. It's a '66, but the brain trust at AMT issued it in '69 boxart :rolleyes:
Killer boxart, and a lot of people really want the kit that is pictured. Of course nobody at AMT will lose their job over this, as it's happened many times and keeps on going.
Another in a long list of models inside that are not properly represented by the box art.
Now I'm hearing some musings of something almost funny if true...they just issued the Cadillac Escalade EXT, and the Chrysler 300C is due any day.
People who have the Escalade and have seen pics of the sprues from the Chrysler believe that AMT may have very well gotten major parts of the engines mixed up between the two :eek: The Escalade engine apparently looks nothing like what it should, and the Chrysler's engine parts looking like they might be proper for a GM...
This should be fun. Good thing I build mainly curbsides ;)
