Finally uploaded photos from our July '10 meeting. The usual light summer turnout; our next meeting is in only 2 weeks on Aug. 1st.

John Gum won 5 different awards at the IPMS show. The Gralas didn't show, but apparently Paul and Izzy both won many awards.

Thanks, I tend to agree ;)

Name the wheels on the 458...they do look better than stock, and it sits better too.

Got me on the wheels, but they look fantastic. Are they Aoshima?

Noop.

Since I'm putting Ferrari wheels on an Aston, I decided to put Aston wheels on a Ferrari. Hobby Design wheels...since, uh, they molded them as female wheels for polycaps...where the Tamiya DBS has male wheels...

Sad I missed the meeting, the cars look awesome. Anxious for the August meeting.

That would be me...

BTW - Would you have any pix of the #1 red car? I need some interior shots. The only pic that I have seems to indicate seats without the grommets.

Cool project, Bob. I'll look through my GT40 books to see what I can find for interior pic's.

I have a couple of GT40 books, including the Ronnie Spain bible. I'll check to see if they have any shots of the roadster.

*EDIT* Here are some shots of the green Targa Florio (http://www.maxted-page.com/cars/car-details.aspx?id=128) car.

Wow! I'll bet that car didn't come out of Shelby's shop looking like that especially since it looks like it was rescued from the Museum of Ferrous Oxide. ;)

Seems that they used the same seats from the early WW cars thru the MkII's. Since my picture from the GT40 1964-1967 book only shows the top of the seat, I was guessing about the grommets - wrong!
