Hey guys, alot of you have seen this car on AF, but I want to participate over here a little more... so here it is...

I just like taking the inexpensive kits and making them look close to the high dollar ones... plus I like the fact that a FULL engine is in place.... what do you guys think of it?? its almost done. I need to add minor details like real metal exhaust tips from tubing, rear tailites etc...and then do a outside photo shoot. The only thing I do not like is the smaller front wheels so I lowered the car all around to make the tire "fill" the front wheel well area. Other than that, this is a fine kit, it fits together very well and overall fit and finish is spot on. The decal sheet is printed by Cartograph and even includes black and white caliper logos as well as the red Pirelli lettering for the tires. Cobra colors paint does not hurt either. Rosso Fiorano Color makes this car look like a wolf in sheeps clothing....

thanks for looking everyone...

It looks most excellent  The color scheme really looks great. Nice complementary build to your Enzo. And to think a lot of kiddies think Revell kits are crap ;)

Nice looking car. If there are any Revell innaccuracys, I'm having trouble seeing them.

The tires look a bit shiney without any text on them.

Does anybody know if the diecast F430 tires are better than the Revell tires? It's not like I use stock wheels/tires on my Ferrari builds, :) :D  . I'm just curious if this would be an alternative.

What primer did you use under the CC paint. So many people have had problems with ghosting/crazing with the 'new' Revell plastic. It looks like you had none. Are they back to good plastic, or do you have a secret weapon?

Maisto's 430 tires are awesome, they have a great tread pattern that's very aggressive. No sidewall detail, but they're not shiny either. The kit is well worth the $6.50 1/2 price deal when available at Hobby Lobby...and there are two sets of rims in those kits...only one set of tires :( BTW, the Polar Lights GTO (and perhaps fronts from the Ford GT) are great replacement tires for the rim protectors in Revell tuner kits. They slip over ITR/Civic/Focus rims like they were made for 'em, and they look more realistic.

Thanks guys, I am glad you approve.... now its on to my " Grimace" painted Diablo as Mr Kemp calls it... The one painted in Lambo thirty, I will post porgress on it here soon....

Matt, I use Duplicolor Primer high build Filler on all my bodies... I let it gas out a few days, then hit it LIGHTLY with 800 and 1000 grit paying special attention to the mold line areas so I dont get ghosting..... I have not had any problem with ghosting on the new RM kits....

Thanks!!!
