scratchbuilding 101 questions

i have brought attention to bob downie about possibly doing a scratchbuilding 101 at one of the meetings, i need to also talk with mike and his 1:12 build and maybe Brian Veneble and his techniques. If someone can tell me how i go about getting things that need to be there and what is needed to know in this 101 that would be helpful, that would be greatly appreciated.

I think since some of us are doing some scratchbuilding to these kits to further make them unique than just OOB kits, that maybe this needs to be brought to attention of others in the club.

We can certainly do a 101 class in one of our meetings...we can review the tools and techniques but nothing with actual putty work etc. due to the fumes.

Meanwhile study these threads, you'll see that the process is basically the same from modeler to modeler, techniques vary a bit.
