I finally got hold of the Scale Auto Style resin bodykit for this car, and have started modifying the Tamiya body to attach all of the resin parts. This body kit was well done by SAS, and everything has attached very well so far.
There is a resin hood that goes with this transit, but I can't remove the plastic hood until I glue the nose and side coves in. There would only be the A-pillar and a little piece at the bottom of the cove holding the front fenders on if the hood was removed now. There are also 2 pieces for the front fenders that will need attached. They weren't in the trans-kit when I received it, but they should be on their way to me now.

I sprayed this car in primer some time ago, and had some additional body work to do, and I completed that this weekend. I sprayed some color on this one today.
The color is a Cobra Color, and is Nissan Daytona Blue Metallic. The blue found on the 350Z.

That is the best blue I've ever seen, and its so much better than the standard bayside blue on every other Skyline. It suits the car well! Did you ever get the other stuff you needed from Chris?

Looks killer. Color is great on the Skyline though I hate it on Z's for some reason.

I did get the resin fender flares from Chris finally, and opted not to use them. They would've added to much width to the plastic part of the fender that makes the vent after putty and smoothing.
Thanks guys, I cant wait to get this in some clear and add the body details. The wing will be in CF, and I'm debating about adding CF to the hood. I will see how it looks with the wing in CF first, before deciding.

I wonder how good this color would look with a coat of flat clear.

If you want bright colors w/a flat finish just use Black Gold/HOK paint. They're dead flat until you apply clear. Don't waste good CC paint doing that ;)

This is serious business! Looking just stellar. I would expect the CF hood to be a bit too much with this aggressive a body kit, but if you're going all out then... well....
Are you planning to use the SAS Do-Luck spoiler, or a different one?

Thanks all. :)
I will be using the resin Do-Luck rear spoiler on this one. I really like the low stance it has.

I've mangaged to get some work done on this recently. Since the last post it's been cleared and polished, and the widow trim is painted. The chassis and suspension is completed. Next up is picking out some interior colors.

Yes it is, and it's a beautiful color in general.
But for whatever reason I can't stand this color on a 350Z for which it is intended   :D

I finished up the interior and wheels last night. I painted the interior royal blue, and a light blue, with some accents in black and silver. I'm hoping to get this one completed by the meeting Sunday. Adding the glass and various lights/lenses to the body are all that's lacking now.
