Hi All,
I know everyone will be glued to the tube this weekend watching Sebring, but if yu would like to experience some live racing, come on out to Road Atlanta this weekend and watch the NASA-Southeast races. they will have a full slate of classes on Saturday and Sunday including GTS Challenge, 944 Cup, Honda Challenge, American Iron/CMC, FFR Cobra Challenge, INEX Legends, Spec Miata, KitCar Challenge, Performance Touring, Thunder and Lightning Sprint races.
The American Iron series is almost like the old Trans Am with production based Mustangs and Camaros battling it out. CMC, or the Camaro Mustang Challenge is a low budget version of AI. You will enjoy all types of cars from Spec E30 BMWs to Spec 944s, Factory Five Cobras, etc. And best of all, there is no spectator fees. You can sign a waiver and come in and watch all of the races for free. This is grassroots racing; no big budgets, transporters, or pit babes, but lots of great racing anyway.
Check out the schedule of events here (http://www.nasa-southeast.com/2006Mar18.html).
I will be there funning in HPDE with my Mustang. I can't take passengers, but we will be giving touring laps for an hour during lunch if someone wants to experience what it's like out on the track at moderate speeds.
See you there!
