I ordered and received a DVD with all 4 of the Porsche IROC races on it.

I watched about 80% of it so far. The riverside races are somewhat bad quality video, not bad, but a tad yellowish. The Daytona footage is nice and bright. The commentary is good, as are the driver interviews. I think color-wise most of the cars are very close or spot on.

I can't wait to finish mine now. It was a good motivator.

I guess maybe we should plan a party to get together and watch it? I know I can get it to play on my computer, but i need to see if it'll play in a DVD player correctly.

Great news! Can't wait to see that. I need another shot of inspiration. Is the pace car visible in any of the coverage? We've got a 914 model slated for pace car duty on the table, and I'm working on it w/Henry.

Ummm.. I think there are some brief shots of it here and there. I'll try to get some video-captures of it.

Cool!!! I cannot wait to see the cars in action myself. Are there any
interviews of the drivers?I wonder how hard it would be to put
together a IROC backdrop of some type.:D

There are pre-race interviews with most, if not all of the drivers.

I've only been able to get the DVD to play on my computer. I need to re-burn the DVD possibly to get the DVD player to find the files.

Is the DVD a -R or a +R? I've had the best luck on DVD players using +R. MY home DVD player/burner, which is intended for burning DVDs from TV shows like a VCR only burns in +R.
