Bruce Owen (built that wild and controversial red show car "Virtue RSX" that won GSL a few years ago and he brought it to our show later that year) built this model of the new '06 Charger R/T for Testors boxart:

Looks reasonably good; though I have some skepticism about it considering price-it's going to be a $30 retail kit, and for that I'd have hoped that some details wouldn't be as off as the headlights. Compared to 1:1 the kit's lamps just don't cut it. They look like cheesy chrome plated toy lamps, they're too small and too centrally located; they need to be repositioned upwards to be nearly cut off at the top. Somewhat spoils the aggressive face of the car. Considering the test shot seen from Milwaukee's NNL showed the Daytona's rear wing to be too tall and somewhat misshapen, I'd say I'm not going to be buying one of these kits for anywhere near full retail. That said I'm looking forward to eventually building the Daytona and the police version ;) Let's hope Hobby Lobby gets 'em in good quantity and blows 'em out at 1/2 price for us skinflints :D
This will probably be a BIG model, as it's 1/24 scale. So it will definitely look a bit out of scale compared to the AMT Chrysler 300 and Revell's upcoming Magnum.
