Hey boys and girls,
Howdy from Ten-a-see.I went to the little IPMS show in
Knoxville on Saturday (5-13) and found our friend Elmore
Craig vending. He had the new Revell F430 kits from Revell.
I have opened it up and at 1st glance it does not look bad.
The kit is molded in white with a small chrome tree for the
wheels. The chrome on tree is not the best, but I will put some
aftermarket wheels on my car anyway. The body is one piece
with a mimium of mold lines The engine is a 8 piece set-up
with a lower/upper,intake in 2 parts and 2 heads and 2 headers.
The interior tub is not over the top in detail. The engine cover
can be made to open to show oof the motor.I guess if I had to
rate it in the box I would give it a 7.5,but I guess a build will
be the real proof in the pudding.I also meet a guy out of
Nashville,Tn. selling resin. His name was Jeff Watlington. He had
some very well cast flat hoods for many GM products as well as
some Mopar products. All of his stuff is cast in white resin.
All his product I saw was clean with very little flash this
included his Corvair ragtop body and the 71 Challenger.
The name of his company is TimeMachineResin.I invited Mr. Wat-
lington to our show this fall.I think he and his product will be a
nice addition to our show.
