A final reminder - the Model Roundup is going to have their open house for ACME this Saturday, May 20 at their Roswell warehouse from 1 pm until 3 pm.

95% of their inventory is at the warehouse. However, if there's something specific you want, feel free to call them ahead of time at 404-250-0265 and they can have items ready for you as a will-call pickup.

In case you need directions, here is their address:

1: Start out going EAST on I-285 E/GA-407 E. 0.9 miles

2: Merge onto GA-400 N/US-19 N via EXIT 27 toward DAHLONEGA/CUMMING. 5.6 miles

3: Take the NORTHRIDGE ROAD exit- EXIT 6- toward GA-9/DUNWOODY PL. 0.2 miles

4: Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto NORTHRIDGE RD. 0.5 miles

5: Turn RIGHT onto ROSWELL RD/GA-9. Continue to follow GA-9. 2.9 miles

Hey guys. I'm planning on coming down for the open house. Are any of you planning on getting together anywhere for lunch before going over?? I'd like to meet up with you guys and eat and follow you over so I could find it easier. I have to get back up here by 5:00 for our club meeting so i'll have to get in and out asap. Let me know. damn, im gonna miss out....but i will be doing the club a BIG, monsterous favor by not being there...i have some flyers from previous meetings & my dads going to Trenton GA ( lil place near Chattanooga) with his newly continentalized 57 ford to a festival with a car show...so ill make sure that the flyers make it to the car show.

Last year several people (I guess from the other side of the room ;) )got together for lunch beforehand, though I don't know where. I hope that someone responds if they're interested. I'm not up on the hot spots of Roswell :D . My plans are to grab lunch at home as I want to hit the Canton car show after the open house, which will make for a long day.

For anyone not interested in heading to Canton afterwards, Year One has their Braselton Bash show from 3-9 pm at the shop just off I-85 at the Braselton/Winder exit.

The Roswell Hooters is just around the corner from Modelroundup on Holcomb Bridge Rd, just west of GA-400.
I don't know what my plans are for that day just yet, but may be interested in meeting up at 11:30-12:00 there if anyone else is interested.

We are unsure of our plans after that.

Yes, I-75 to 285 east, exit GA 400 North, if going to Hooters you will exit at Holcomb Bridge Rd towards Roswell (Hwy 140 west). Hooters will be on the left after several lights IIRC.

You can mapquest to Hooters for exact directions; 795 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Roswell, 30076:

Merge onto GA-400 N toward CUMMING / DAHLONEGA 8.3 miles

Merge onto HOLCOMB BRIDGE RD / GA-140 W via EXIT 7B toward ROSWELL. 1.3 miles

Turn LEFT onto MARKET PL.

End at 795 Holcomb Bridge Rd

400 Northbound traffic warning for this weekend.

There will be only one lane open northbound @ Mansell, just beyond Holcomb Bridge, reportedly only 9 pm-5 am each day through Monday. TV news says it's all weekend. Trust nothing but your own instincts here, you may want to allow more time or use alternate route :rolleyes:
