I present to you my latest Porsche. This is a Koenig Specials 928.

The kit is by Fujimi, and is curbside. The only addition I made was some Scale Auto Style resin Recaro seats. I added some MicroScale Kevlar carbon fiber decals to the seatbacks.

I painted this car with Cobra Colors Millenium Yellow, a Corvette color. The interior was painted Tamiya light grey and black. The wheel centers were painted Polyscale scale black.

I plan to add some yellow seat belts to the seats, after I order some PE buckles.

That's a knockout! Painted wheel centers a big improvement, they do trick they eyes to make the wheel diameter look a bit larger.

Looks great Matt. The kevlar on the back of the seats is a real nice touch.

That is excellent! Rims are awesome on that Porsche. About time someone gave the 928 some balls. Nice work Matt!

That is the best looking Koenig car I have seen.
Nice job Matt!

No kidding; I doubt that word has ever been uttered before in response to any 928. Honestly I was looking forward to building mine this year, but now I don't know. I think the color scheme on this one makes it and I can't think of any other color scheme for mine that will satisfy as much. Maybe I should just put mine on the back burner and work on something else. Perhaps the B + B targa showcar instead. Hmmmm...maybe a B + B Koenig  ....damn, why does this always happen  :D

Matt,

That's a really nice build! The car looks fast and mean just sitting still. Super job!

Another nice, clean build, Matt. Unique color for this car.
I'm just curious - is the back of the hood scoop supposed to be open also? It looks to be cut off vertically, which seems odd if its closed up.

Thanks guys. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Ken - The scoop is closed in the back. I only found a picture of one Koenig 928 that actually used that hood. Most of them have the stock hood still intact. I was never thrilled with how that scoop ended in the back. It looks odd as it doesn't go all the way to the back of the hood. Maybe a small black decal on that will make it look a little better.

Heres a pic showing that flat part from the inside.

Not that I have much to go by, but I think Fujimi made the scoop a bit thick/blocky compared to the real thing. I think I'll give mine a good blocksanding/reshaping to thin it out and make it concentric w/the hood and taper at the back, or at least improve the radius.

Or I'll install a Viper hood.

Not :D

Looks great! Those are some serious tires. No replacement for rubber against the road (too bad that doesn't rhyme). Very nice car.
