I've heard people say that Kit Scratch Out scratch and haze remover worked well on polishing model paint, and my preliminary test with it seems to echo that sentiment. While I haven't tried it on fresh paint, it worked well on older Gunze acrylic, older Testors enamel, and 2 month old Tamiya lacquer.

Haven't tried it against the other good ones that are safe chemically on model paint (Novus #2, Meguiars Scratch X, Tamiya Compound, 3M light duty rubbing compound) but I suspect it's pretty similar. It smells good too.

A 7 oz. bottle of this polish was under 2 bucks at Wally World. I've never been so proud to be a skinflint in all my life ;) :D

I have a couple of white paint jobs coming up soon where I'll test the polish on paint that's just dry enough to polish out.

Thanks for the update. It's always good to have another polishing alternative.

Holy mackerel, Andy! I just got used to Meguires Scratch-X and now there is something new for me to try. Oh well, that's how progress happens. Thanks for the tip.
