This is NOT the 8 you would think of!! This is Joe Weatherly's #8 he ran in 1962. The car is a 1962 Pontiac Catalina. I started this yeasterday! So far the wipers are gone, and so is the fuel door. Door panels have been made and the roll cage. I am using the early '60s Holman Moody 9" wide wheels. The rear-end has been narrowed and the front lowered! The car will be red with a black roof and black stripe down the side and hood. The decals are made by Yesterdays!!!

I'm going to enjoy watching this build. Is that the AMT kit or resin?

:D :D :D Oh No!!!! Dennis is real sick!!!!He has shine disorder. The only cure
is to build only Tanks and other Mil type stuff.:D :D

This will be an interesting build. It looks like your having some fun with Nascar builds.
I think Steve L. built this car as a drag car also. It will be cool to see them together.

I was watching a replay of a 1982 NASCAR race (Richmond in its old configuration), and it was so refreshing to see #24 not as a rainbow warrior. Weirder still was seeing Dale Earnhardt driving #2, and someone else driving #3.

Looks cool Dennis. Almost a paint scheme I'd expect on a rat. Can we expect to see this in person in July?

That paint scheme looks really sweet.
Wheels look much better in silver than in black I think too.

Me likes. Nice color scheme. Either choice of wheels suits the car, the black is fine because it's present on the body. The silver makes it look almost like an early road racer.

I got a few more things done this morning!! I hate BMF!! It's the first time I have used it, I don't like it!! I got the decals done, now all is left is the interior and she will be on the shelf!!!
