This afternoon I almost walked out with several kits. Hobby Lobby is clearing out some of their old stuff. I was at the one on Statebridge and they had a display with probably 50 models on clearence.

I almost walked out with an $11 Hayabusa, a $14 Williams F1, 2 $6 Tamiya Supra's, and at $6 Celica.

Cant beat those prices. I should have bought them...but who knows when I'd get to them. I might go back and get the Hayabusa.

So go check your local Hobby Lobbys, let me know if anyone see's an R1 on clearence.

EDIT: Meant to say they are clearing out because they have a lot of new stuff. I saw the new Big T reissue, 1/12 69 camaro, and 1/12 Ferrari Testerossa and a lot of ther cool stuff.

I've yet to see anything new at my Minnesota location. They did have the new releases you mentioned, but nothing on clearance.
You ought to go back and get those great deals!

The closeout tables are only what a particular store is trying to get rid of; no guarantee that the other stores have that much, if anything, on closeout.

The Hobby Lobby in Columbus had a sale like that a few months ago. It was tempting but there weren't any "must have" kits and I have enought kits im my closet. So I didn't buy any. But the table did eventually empty out. They do have a 40% off coupon again, so does Michael's. Sometimes I just use the coupon for a display case as I have enough kits already.

They've got the 40% off anything coupon and 1/3 off plastic and diecast this week. Hopefully more 1/2 off sales as the year progresses. I imagine w/so few sales lately that they must have a lot more models in stock now, and newer subjects. I haven't been in HL since the last 1/2 off sale at the beginning of the year.
