Finally finished the Martini I've been sippin' for the past 2 months ;)

Still want to make a better exhaust pipe; I'll do that tomorrow. These are some of the first custom laser printed decals that I designed; they came out great. I had intended to build a silver 924 like a local car but when I saw pics of this Champion Edition made in a brief run in '77 and realized I could make the decals I decided to give this a go.

Simple kit, paint details nicely. A few fit/warp issues were the challenges to this kit that has fewer than 40 pieces. This is a kit you almost never see built, and I doubt anyone has attempted this version so it's a 1 of 1.

Crisp! And the decals set it off very well.
Looks like you have been busy this weekend.

I like that a lot. Great job all around, the window trim is awesome!!
And to think it started out as red plastic....

Thanks guys, it was nice to get all that red plastic covered up! Including the pink Tamiya "white" primer ;) Zinsser worked as promised, for the most part.

The red seat inserts and carpeted areas were left w/o paint and dullcoated; I brush painted Acryl flat black carefully to avoid masking and the dullcoat smooths/evens out the finishes. I used flat clear Acryl as a base for the red carpet flocking. I used blue masking tape and a tiny red tape stripe for the Martini headrest stripe, and blue masking tape for the front seat piping which honestly came out okay but about twice the width as preferable. I just didn't have the patience to paint blue wire and monkey around w/trying to get it to stick to the seat w/o making a huge mess. I need to get a thin piece of plastic/tape in black to cover up a gap under the rear bumper; you can see clear through to the ground when looking through the rear glass at the back of the car. Such is life w/such a simple kit :D

Very nice-my Dad gave me a 924 back in 1989; I met my wife Wendy during that time & your model brought back some very fond memories. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks, M Coupe is almost ready for the decals. I have to paint the window trim and fake the sunroof w/Tamiya black before I can add the decals. Maybe later this week.

Yep, if you are not drinking a martini, this would be the one to have. Looks great.
