I picked up the new ZO6 Vette today and my initial reaction is a thumbs up. More differences than you'd expect from Revell on the body. It has a wider body rear quarter and small flares behind the rear wheels. Also has the rear brake cooling vents on the rear fender leading edge. Then there is the small air inlet in the front nose fascia and front air dam is different. Still has the screen molded in the front but you can always work around that. The roof is also molded onto the body this time. This is all just at first glance. Haven't gotten ti the innards yet!! I think this will make an excellent kit to round out the C6 family. Me Likes!!:D :D

I'm awaiting mine.
Here's what I heard the kit needs to be more accurate:
The tires are standard C6. The Viper tires are apparently much better/wider; especially the rears.
The underhood area still has the std. C6 battery; the Z06's battery is un a compartment under the luggage compartment; the battery tray is at the bottom right corner of the frame. The molded kit battery should be removed and replaced w/the top of a cylindrical oil sump reservoir and oil cap.

Good info. Thanks for the tips as i've not inspected the rest of it yet. There will probably be more small details like this pop up along the way. I lucked up and found mine in HobbyTown up here after they had just put it out. I was gonna order one from Jack along with some more stuff but once it was in my hand it got stuck there!!!! hehehehehe

I did a mail order from Hobby Heaven w/a friend to combine shipping on the Z06's and new Motormax diecast '55 Chrysler 300's and '74 Gremlins. I'm not ashamed to admit I have diecast models in my collection  :D

Yeah me too. Nobody wants to admit it but we ALL do!!!! Although most of mine are nascar and old tv and movie cars. Gonna have to thin out my diecast nascar collection though. All but the autographed ones and a few special editions. By the way, i've got access to ONE more of those GT40 diecast if anyone wants it. Just let me know.
