I found this kit at the Wal-Mart on Windward Pkwy. This was the last Viper kit, but they had a few of the new Corvette Z06 kits in stock.

It looks to be a well done kit, and aside from the body and wheels is the same as the Viper kit I've already built.

Interesting how they did the opening hatch. Those wheels are kinda strange, never saw them before.

Wow, opening hatch. Thats amazing. I should have claimed it since I saw it first. Are you building it the same way at the convertable?

:eek: :eek: I hear the rustling of plastic and the snap-snap- snap of
kit bashers everywhere.The motor would look nice between a set
of 32 rails.All of this with your 50% off coupon at the Lobby.Oh! be
on the alert at your local Wally-World.Some are discounting already
24th scale FranklinMint cars. Da Prez.:D

I'm on the fence with this kit. Not sure if I want to get one or not. Looks alright though.
Ok, I'll pass... Much rather have the C6R :)

Me too! C6R's rawk. Wish Revell had tooled the BBS rims like we saw at LeMans. It inspired me to put the optional BBS rims from a Fujimi F430 on my Z06, and it looks perfecto with those rims. My C6 Convertible will get the Z06 rims.

I wish we'd have gotten the other Viper coupe; the competition version that's patterened after the 2nd generation concept car. To me it looks a lot meaner than this version. I see this new Viper coupe and think "Viper Lite". I'm sure Matt has something up his sleeve that's anything but "Viper Lite" :D He won't tell anyone what he's planning :rolleyes:

Hi, Bob;
Thanks for showing the Viper kit contents-the removable trunk lid would make it much easier to build a Pro Street or Pro Modified variant.

Speaking of variants, thanks for the building tips about the Mustang GT in SAE; I am putting the finishing touches on the first Pro Street Mustang that I have built in about 20 years. I hope that you do more articles like that in the future-thanks again.

The hood fits ok on this one, but will need a little tweaking and sanding to be perfect.

My version of this car will be anything but Viper 'Lite'. :)

I'll get to it after the Do-Luck Skyline, and the Murcielago Roadster, and the 2 Ferrari Dinos, and the 612 Scagletti.

:eek: :eek: OMG I'm starting to have as many in-progress as Brian!!!:eek: :eek:

Matt is the one who posted the Viper parts, not me ;)

Thanks for the comments on the Mustang story; that review sort of fell in my lap as the magazine needed a review and I had just built it.

Hi, Matt;

I apologize for the oversight-thanks for showing us the Viper; I'm sure your version will be really cool, as always. Thanks again.
