Well, its finally done. The Revellogram '71 Hemi Cuda with MCG PE and BMF. A crummy kit that I did my best on. The hood doesn't lay down well. Funny it layed down nice before I put the body on the chassis. It has to do with the "shaker" holding it up. I even ground down the tops of the carbs to lower the shaker. It didn't help. Well I'll keep the hood up or off at the show anyway. I used the side decals. I was lucky that the kit had an extra set since I messed one up.

An engine shot. As you can see I did some detailing there.

I made the font plate with MS Word. It's nothing but a "text box" filled in green. It almost matches the paint.

Not a bad job of turning a @#$%ty kit into a winner and I'd leave the hood off to show all that detail. The wheels look spot on too!

Good finish, and the extra PE details added really enhance the build.
I got the hood of mine to sit flush by removing the lip on the bottom 1/2 of the shaker piece, and also had to shave some material off of the bottom of the top shaker piece. Your hood is sitting much higher than mine was though, so I'm not sure if this fix will work.
My understanding of the "pony" car definition was that it only included small-block cars. Once the big-block option was checked it became a "muscle" car.

There is a bit of confusion about what a pony car is; a pony car is basically what the original Mustang was; a new sporty model with long hood/short deck based on the underpinnings of a compact/economy model. It doesn't matter what engine it has, it's the bodystyle, and a Barracuda with any factory engine counts. This one also counts as a muscle car as do some other pony cars. A true muscle car would be what the original GTO was; a midsized car of humble beginnings outfitted with the biggest of the factory engines that were usually saved for the largest cars.
Cars like Mavericks/Comets don't count, because they are the economy car that the pony car was based upon (and successor to the Falcon that spawned the original Mustang).
Barracuda, Challenger, Javelin, AMX, Mustang, Cougar, Firebird, and Camaro are all considered pony cars.

I agree with your statements 100%, Bob, but if the traditional Pony cars were developed primarily from more vanilla economy cars like the Mustang/ Falcon, Camaro/Nova, Barracuda/Valiant ( A bodies up to '69), What about the '70 and up Cuda and Challenger E bodies , which used shortened B body Road Runner/Superbee platforms? Pony/Muscle cars, or Muscle/Pony cars?

They count, if in name/shape only almost grandfathered in, even though they are huge cars. The new Challenger will be built on the LH large car platform, the new Camaro will also be on a platform that's gone well beyond the econo-car roots.

Yes, a pony car can be a muscle car but not all muscle cars are pony cars. I also feel it is the body style, not the cubic inches that defines a pony car. So you you build your pony car with a 6 cyl or a big block V8 it will still be a pony car. To me the pony cars are of course the original Mustang (that's where the term came from) and then there is the 'Cuda, Challenger, Camaro, Firebird and even for a while Ford was selling the Mercury Capri as a Mustang clone in the late 80's.
