I picked up the new Corvette "Easy kit" from Revell at this weeks Hobby Lobby 1/2 off sale. I was pleasantly surprised at the contents, and thought some of you may want to see what's inside.
This is a curbside kit, and has solid metal axles. There are 2 positions of ride height you can choose, stock or lowered. You could give it a muscle car rake, (low front, raised rear) I guess too. This kit also comes with both stock, and an optional set of wheels.
Overall the molding is nice and the interior details are good. Door panels are separate for ease of painting.
There are a couple drawbacks in this kit. The exterior scripts are peel and stick stickers, and not waterslide decals. and the brake rotors do not have calipers.
The brake problem should be and easy enough fix with a short trip to the parts box. The stickers however may be a problem for some. I have some extra scripts from other Corvette kits that should work for me.
Ive compared the convertible body to the coupe and the size is the same. For those of you that want a full detail convertible, it should be possible by combining the full detail Revell C6 Coupe kit with this kit. With some planning and cutting of the hood, it shouldn't be that hard of a conversion.
