I know we are replicating the cars as they raced at Riverside, but I see there are two races there that weekend. I'm sure it was mentioned, but I missed it. Which race are we doing. It makes a difference for me as my car was a backup in one and it was raced in the other.

We're doing the inaugural race, race #1. Maybe if there's enough interest people might want to build for other races, perhaps the season-ender that had only six drivers. But for simplicity and historical accuracy, we decided race #1 would be the best choice for the group build.

So let me get this straight. Riverside was the first race weekend, but there were two IROC races that weekend at Riverside. From your post I take it we are replicating race 1 of the Riverside race weekend?

Hey guys, I noticed that the intake on the race cars was set up differently than the
parts included in the kit.

The racers had trumpets:

The kit part will be easy enough to modify and cast. I can modify the part for casting, unless someone already has the correct intake.

There were apparently three races at Riverside that weekend. Heat #1 and #2 were on Saturday, and Heat #3 was on Sunday. We're modeling Heat #1. I didn't know the particulars of the dates until I read the information yesterday. So they must have been easy to quickly modify/remove decals and replace, because in that one weekend they were swapping cars, not driving the same car for the subsequent heats. Which also made for a good plan to have the cars as equal as possible, and nobody could complain if one car was particularly fast and nobody else had a chance to drive it.
