This is an ACME exclusive; the kit was provided by Scale Auto for a review, and will be sent to them w/the review for photos before being returned.

It's Hasegawa's new 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z432R. It's a low-production club-sport racer w/lightweight and removed components powered by a Skyline engine. It's a 4 valve/cylinder, 3 carburetor, 2 cam motor hence the 432 designation. All reference I have seen shows them in orange, but nothing I've read says that it was exclusive. I painted it silver.

So far it's been a breeze. About 3 hours to prep and paint everything and polish it out, 2 hours of assembly time for the interior and chassis. I figure another 3 or so to finish it up. Best-proportioned Z car I've ever seen in 1/24 scale.

Painted w/assembled chassis/interior in place. Stance perfect w/o any adjustments.

Chassis detail. Light engraving, looks good but they certainly could have engraved some fuel and brake lines for a bit more detail.

Is it a curbside kit?

Is it a curbside kit?

Curbside only, and the kit looks like it's not designed for a later full-detail variant. Too bad, too. Fujimi made a kit of this car w/engine, but it's got issues. This is a better looking body for sure. There's also no way I'd get a full-detail build of this done in 8-10 hours :D

Looking great - you're right, that body looks sharper and more correct than any other I've seen. Sweet job on the exhaust staining, very realistically done.
