A guy on another board I frequent visited the Historics and Pebble beach on Saturday of last week. He took some interesting shots of a lot of the cars there.Towards the bottom of his first post are links to his complete albums, enjoy! Thanks! By far the best pics I've seen yet of the events. Professional photographer?

Good thing the email reply has your complete unedited post ;)
Pebble Beach is nearly impossible to get good car shots w/o the crowd being in the way. His method of photographing them was the only way to deal with the crowd, if he were to stand back he'd be taking people shots. Some of the best pics are taken early before the crowds, or after the show when the crowds leave and some of the best cars hang around for better shots against the water background. Tickets are $175 and the throngs still appear.

Yeah, I can be a real ass sometimes. At least I edited myself this time!

I seriously doubt the comments you made originally would have bothered him one bit nor needed editing! It was actually a very accurate observation of reality, he'd have likely agreed w/you 100% about camera angles and viewpoint-he did the best he could in very difficult conditions. Inside the show itself is an awful place to try to get nice pics of the cars, it's just too crowded. I'd rather see a show like that in person w/o a camera, and then see other people's pics later :D, or just take detail shots for potential model work. I don't have the patience to photograph entire cars when there are people constantly blocking the view.

I actually know the guy and that's kind of why I was a smartass about it, but he wouldn't have seen the comments anyway over here

Peloton25 hangs out on the Ultimate Car Page site too, which is my favorite car site.
