View Full Version : Hello Everyone
[I]Hi all, My name is Ron Royston. I have been building off and on for a little over 40 years. My passion is Short Track cars, evrything from Jalopy`s to LMS. I met one of your club members in Birmingham this year . Real nice guy. His name was Al, But I cant recall his last name( Sorry Al). I have attended the November show for the last 3 years and am planning on it again this year. Guess that means I have to get busy, I`m trying to complete 3 more for the show.:) Hope I will be able to contribute to the forum.

Welcome to the site!
I checked out some of your builds and they are very impressive. It's nice to see some of the short track builds being done so well. It's a shame that with all the history of short track racing in Georgia and the Southeast it tends to get "forgotten".
We look forward to seeing you at the show.

Ron:
Welcome to ACME. Your choice of modeling subjects takes me back to my high school days in St. Louis where I went to dirt track races every Friday and Sunday nights. Most of the "A" class cars for 1935-1941 Chevy, Ford and Willys coupes running big block engines, one team actually had a ZL-1 engine and by the next Sunday his biggest rival had a Hemi.
I really enjoy looking at your models on the forum and hope you join us at our meetings.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I`m really looking forward to meeting a lot of you in November. As for attending a club meeting, I may have to try and work that in.
