i went to hobby lobby a week ago & was hoping to buy on a budget a 99 silverado & one of the toyota trucks for under $25 but that didnt seem so....so i walked out sorta dreaming and with just the silverado...i got it home opened it up and couldnt get any ideas. Well...two nights ago i seem to have gone nuts, i couldnt do nothing to the Sonoma ( its been sitting & collecting dust for two months, ive added a cowl hood since the last meeting i was at). So with that in mind i went searching for some moderately big rims to use on this silverado & found NONE within my whole stash so i seemed to have grabbed the ones from the merc im in the process of building so its now on hold as well.
Within two days ive managed to shave all the emblems, handles & side trim from the body leaving this truck as smooth as possible. I als went thru my stash of parts seeing that i had pieces from the waverunner chevy truck and am using the front bumper & hood from that kit giving this truck a significant and altered look. Im also gonna be using a 396 from an older issued Chevelle Pro Street kit i got a few months back to power this beastly looking subject.
Ive also been following a guys buildup on a bodydropped ranger that he scratchbuilt his frame & will be attempting this feat as well in the next few months, so bare with me....
