I'm disappointed by the Revell diecast-to-plastic modern Hemi cars, maybe they'll be okay-I suspect they'll have separate scissor doors :(

Surprises? Lindberg's also doing a Charger! The Superbee. Which if done properly will be the SRT-8 w/graphics. Might be better than Revell's. Revell's also doing the Camaro concept as a snap kit. I'm sure it will look better than the AMT version.

THIS is huge news for me:

AAR Cuda with brand-spankin’ new body

AWESOME. Been wanting one since the 80's, only to be crushed by the deformed thing they came out with that they called an AAR.

Anybody know where I can find new release news for the rest of their line (aircraft)?

I wouldn't get too terribly excited, I guarantee it's still based on their somewhat sadly proportioned 1/24 scale tool, whether it's from the Hemi Cuda or Challenger T/A. The Hemi Cuda has always looked odd, thick body, horrible headlights, front/rear valances that are too tall. I sure hope they get the proportions worked out if it's an all-new body.

AMT is doing a '70 Barracuda, stock or as a Foosemobile. If they base it on any of their previous Barracudas, it has a chance to be the best looking '70 one could ask for. Or they could pull an AMT and botch the living...ahem...daylights :D out of it.

One could easily take the concept Camaro kit and do a "what if" Barracuda from it. Or one could take the upcoming AMT Challenger concept and do the same.

I have no idea about Revell's aircraft line. They aren't even officially set up at the hobby show. February's toy show in NY is where they do the most business.

Revell aircraft(just re-issues)
1/48 Junkers Ju87D Stuka 12/31
1/48 F/A-18F Super Hornet 11/29
1/144 B52H Stratofortress 11/30
1/48 Corsair F4U-4 2/28
1/48 Dauntless 7/31
1/48 F-101 VooDoo 4/30
1/72 A-10 Warthog 1/31

As for the Lindberg/Hawk, I'm dissapointed that the 1/20 scale Firehawk didn't make it. Even though it is an odd scale, I have a few versions in mind that I would love to build. Guess that the bay will have to suffice.

Completely agree with you there, but if they just get the side window area fixed and wheelbase I'll be happy. Meaning, base it off the Cuda chassis, not Challenger like they did first time. Anything closer will be appreciated. MPC's Cuda is really nicely proportioned, but I don't expect much from AMT Ertl nowadays.:(

So far that's a lame release on aircraft, but the F/A-18F isn't a straight reissue since it is a two-seater, decent kit but has some challenges to build, but far less expensive than the japanese alternative. Gee, exactly like their car models....

Saw Phillip Hui at AAA with an E version superbug nicely built. I just finished my 5 year build of the Italeri... geesus, worst kit I've ever built, it came out awesome but had to use a lot of Magi-Sculpt and do a lot of rescribing!

The Firehawk/Camaro were the only fairly decent 1/20 kits by them, did anyone else notice that the very "off" Camaro SS hood in the Lindberg kit was very suspiciously copied in it's off-ness (it didn't fit either) by AMT's also-rare '97 Camaro SS kit? That hood kept me from building the AMT kit because it was so bad. Later when I looked at the Lindberg hood one day I was like "WTF!!! This is the exact same crappy hood that AMT's kit has!! While nobody has confirmed it, I guarantee AMT "borrowed" Lindberg's hood for the pantograph one day...

Last weekend at our NNL I found out a small tidbit of information about the Lindberg '07 Charger Superbee kit which was announced at the iHobby Expo.

Apparently it's being made for them by Testors using shared tooling. I would assume they'll be tooling up the SRT-8 motor for the Superbee, as all the Testors variants use the standard 5.7 Hemi and the Superbee uses the 6.1 SRT-8 Hemi.

So if Lindberg really gets it on the market, it should be a really good kit, as the parts trees shown by Testors indicate it's a very detailed kit. Preliminary pricing of the Lindberg kit seems much more reasonable than Testors pricing. I hope that doesn't mean it's simplified or curbside. Time will tell...
