Hi. I am Dave or ViperDave to all my modeling and racing friends. I am from Lexington KY. I have been building models since 1958 and have about 1800 new kits in my collection. I still have all my old models from the early 60's. I have been building a few new ones this year since I have been laided up with several surgerys. I build all types of models but like Mopars and exotics the most. I am open to all kinds of models but I am not into the tuner and rat rod thing.
I have been doing some of the masters for the Danbury mint with my friend Rich. We did the Yellow 57 Chevy Pro Street as our first and have done about 18 in thier Custom and race car series.
I do build and restore real cars too. I have been involved with the Chrysler trans am racers. First we restored the #48 Gurney AAR Cuda and then did the #77 Sam Posey Challenger T/A racer. We are restoring the #76 Challenger T/A racer right now. We also have the Challenger Petty kit car prototype that was the first of the Kit cars. It is Petty Blue and has the #74 on it.
We have several other cars that we have in our collection. I still have my 71 Charger SE that I ordered new in 71 and also we have a 22 Ford T-Bucket, 53 Ford Courier Soon to be custom, 66 427 Cobra, 70 Petty blue Superbird, 76 Thunderbird, 76 Chevy full custom mid engine 454 van, and a few other projects.
