This past weekend I took a drive over to my hometown of Sebring, and went to the historic race there. The turnout wasn't as good as the one held in Atlanta at the beginning of the year. No Formula 1 cars, and very few NASCARs. The track at Sebring would probably destroy and F1 car though, it's pretty rough and a lot of the track is 60+ year old concrete.

I stayed for qualifying all Saturday morning, and for the 1st race of the afternoon. There were only about 15 minutes of racing in a one hour race. The clean up crews were slow, and there wasn't a whole lot of racing. I was pretty disappointed for the most part, but a bad day at the track is still a pretty good day.

There was a car show with some pretty unique cars.
A 914 widebody with Subaru WRX STi motor. I don't know if it was AWD or not.

A very confused Corvette that spans 3 generations of Vette was there. A C5 was used as the base and it had a 62 front end, and 65 rear end. The sign in the window said no 62 vettes were harmed in the making of that car. They must have been some kind of aftermarket parts.

A new MG was in the parking lot

Hi Matt,

That's a regular 62 Corvette rear. Here's a pick of a stock one:

Sure is. That's what I get for listening to Sebring locals talking about the car. Incorrect info..lol. ;)

It may not have been the Mitty but there are still some really cool cars there I would like to have seen. The Leyton House Porsche and the Sunoco Camaro just to name two.

Thanks for the pics, Matt.
