I use Dynatron puttycoat.
Do you know of a retail establishment that carries it?

I guess that's why I've never seen it at a regular auto parts place. If so the autobody supply place probably also has competing products like Evercoat. I've also heard that puttycote is good stuff from Bill Geary, is it cheaper than Evercoat? Seems the last container of Evercoat I got from Auto Color was pretty $$, about double what it used to be. I could check the Sherwin Williams auto paint store in Chamblee; I got a tube of 3M polyester/2 part glazing/spot putty there once for work; I think a tube might last longer before drying out vs. the cans  I know they carry a brand called "Icing" that's supposedly real nice stuff and about 30% less costly than Evercoat.

I use automotive glazing putty to fill low spots after an initial sanding & priming; I have just finished preparing a Revell chopper frame in this manner & it worked real well. I would post pictures, but for some reason, I am having trouble doing so.

I kept a tub of my first wife's mashed potatoes (1977 vintage) and they seem to work just fine, once out of the tub and exposed to air they dry rock hard, are somewhat easy to sand, don't shrink, and take color well:eek:
