Hey Gang,
It's April in Atlanta and you know what means? Yes! It’s time to clean your workbench and storage areas of that pile of models and/or parts that most likely will never get built or used. So, gather together a nice pile of stuff and bring it to this month’s Spring Cleaning meeting for a little swapping and some old-fashioned give-away to someone in the club. This was a great success last year, your payoff should be a little extra space for things you don’t need, and you may find treasures that you do need! If you have any specific part or kit requests that perhaps someone can fulfill at the meeting; post them in our forum in the following thread:

April always has many cool car events. The summer cruise nights kick into gear and the Walter Mitty vintage race happens at Road Atlanta. Check the club calendar. If you want to add an event, let one of us know and we’ll get it on the calendar.

Also, check the club Fotki album for pics from our monthly meetings and various model and car shows that members have visited and photographed. We also have some great reference pictures.

Wes Hofferber should have some details concerning the Good Guys Southern Nationals at Atlanta Motor Speedway coming in June and the possibility of our helping w/their model contest. Some of our members have been burning up the roads taking in many auto related events during the last month. Ask Wayne and Eric about Sebring, and ask Bob Downie, Bob Cline, Brian and Pico about all the classics they took in at Amelia Island. Let us not forget the NNL East. Al Roberts went this year and he missed the other ACME members who went there last year. Look for Al’s pictures from the NNL in our album soon.
Before I forget, the latest issue of Model Cars Magazine is their Annual Contest issue. It is well worth the effort to track it down at your local hobby shop. Our show gets top billing with Randy Derr's best of show winning A.J. Foyt USAC Camaro on the cover. Our spot in the Magazine covers about six (6) pages, with several of our members getting shots of their models in the layout.
This is your Fearless Leader saying, I'll see you on April 1st, No Fooling! Don’t forget to bring your trading goodies.
