Here are two pictures of what is alleged to be an IROC Porsche:

Question: This car appears to have hood pins and trunk pins and latches. Are we going to add those details to our models?

That's a real one. We are working on the latch issues etc.

In addition you may see rear window straps which were not on the cars in the first heat...IIRC one or more of the cars may have popped out the rear windshield and all the cars were subsequently fitted w/the retainer straps which you see on many of the restored cars.

Our models will not have the window straps.

This "IROC" car has the red plastic center strip (tail light to tail light) in the rear. Our model was body color. This one must be a later version.
I guess we use the kit seats, right? Any ideas on seatbelt types and color, not that I am that close.

Henry has that info; IIRC it's one seat, and he's detailed it w/black seat belts. Fairly easy conversion to the seat, to drill a couple slots to allow the lower seat belts to go through, and the upper ones will wrap over the top and simply glue on the seatback. Henry's will be at the meeting for more information.

The taillight panel does need to be body color. Remember that most of the IROC cars were then bought and raced by others, so the ones that are out there today are restored and none of them are 100% accurate to their original setup.
