I've started my first real project of 2007, and I'm pretty excited about it so far. Our palooza down here was a success to get me motivated to build a car.
I've started with the AMT Concept Camaro, and I'm transforming it into a 2009 IROC Concept car.
I will add a wing and front splitter to the car, similar to NASCAR's car of tommorow.
(When tommorow becomes today, what the heck are they gonna call that car?)
I've chosen some 19" BBS RE wheels, and mocked up the wing here.

The stock interior parts have been mostly removed, and sheet styrene replaced seats and rear deck
Also the roll cage has been stolen from a Lumina NASCAR kit. The seat is a resin Bride seat from Scale-Auto Style. Sorry about the tape, it's still in progress, many more bars to add.

I also opened up the lower grille and will add mesh there.

Haven't decided on a color yet. Probably red or blue. Something simple.

Sunoco blue. Though I've already seen one done in that scheme.

I vote for White.... along with some CF details like the front splitter, etc...
I got most of the parts for the Revell Audi R10 TDI cleaned up and ready for primer. Unfortunately, this is the second car I've gotten ready for primer since moving here.... I need to get past the cleaning parts stage!!!

I certainly wont be using the carbon kevlar pattern that was falling apart so easily on Dirk this weekend. I had planned on using a fair bit of carbon on this car, like the wing, interior and mirrors. The splitter will look good too.
I hadn't considered white, but maybe white along with some other color like they do now on IROCs would look sweet. I need to go through my decal sets to see If I have anything that may work as a generic race car livery.

I'm getting closer to primer every nite. And may actually have this ready for the show! Yay!
I borrowed the exhaust out of the NASCAR kit, and modified the stock exhaust parts to attach to it.
This poses a small problem now, as there are holes in the back of the rear bumper where the tailpipes are supposted to exit. Fill em? leave em?

The roll cage is nearing it's finish. I also chaged the seat to one out of the drift car accesory kit. The resin seat I intended to use was too tall.
I'm gonna dive into the parts bin for some interior bits tonight. It needs some electrical boxes and fire suppression system in the passenger side I think.

I also have modified the suspension a bit. The stance will be a bit lower than stock.

Next to sort out will be the front splitter. Maybe I luck into one when I'm parts box diving tonight.
