Thanks for posting this. I tried ALSA's Killer Chrome in a spray can and had horrible results compared to the others. I will give this a try and decant the Killer Chrome before using.

If you remember, decanting it didn't help much. Alclad II/Spaz Stix worked better thru the airbrush.

I do think the clearcoat over base coat approach is one to try; as the shiniest surface possible under the "chrome" makes a bigger difference than the brand of the chrome.
