I thought I had started a thread here on the Caprice; guess I forgot  Modeler's ADD strikes hard when I go from a Cayman tuner to a rolling living room couch.

Got the model from Henry, decided to restore it and have it ready for B'ham next weekend. It will not be entirely stock on show day, but otherwise it will be built as a stock Caprice. In a period-appropriate malaise-era disco cruiser color scheme ;)

Color scheme is "Lime Yellow" w/medium green top/interior. I guessed at the colors based on internet research. I think I'm close enough for gov't work.

Here's some photos of the progress so far. It stripped easily enough w/Easy Off, then I primed/filled/block sanded and tweaked the body prior to painting. It's in it's first layers of final color, I'm shooting it w/Testors enamels. Interior/top is a mixture of Tamiya flat green and light sand acrylic.

Your right on with your colors Bob. I can still remember working on these boats at the dealership when I was starting out. The detail work is looking good too.

cripes, a stockie...im used to seeing it with 13" dayton wire wheels & low to the ground....now this is a new look for me, not half bad for era colors.
