08 NNL East

:eek: I found some pics on of the NNL East on the Model Cars web site/forum and the show look good.I also had a report from Mr.Bill Bauer who gave a guess of between 1500 and 2000 models on display.He said it was awesome!!!:cool: I look forward to seeing and hearing about the show from others.

I did make it up to this years NNL East and it was again a great show. The new facility is much bigger which makes it hard to compare with previous years regarding the number of models or people. A key indication though was that the hosts seemed much more relaxed and upbeat. It may have been the air conditioning or that people where not bumping into each other all day long. I am in the process of downloading some pictures to FOTKI to my account but it already has been loading for over two hours. I have some shots and you will see that there was a lot of room on the tables and on the viewing floor...gone was the shoulder to shoulder movement with the models and vendors. The show model tables where raised up as we do it which I believe is different from last year. Much easier to view the models as well a take photos.

They had two rooms for vendors which doubled last years space and not all the spaces where taken. A lot of resin and previous built models up for sale. The location was a little harder to reach but the directions were fine. I put the NNL South flyers out when I arrived and most were gone when I left. As I said before ..Resin, resin, resin. Because of the late settlement of a building location they did not have a Friday night get together which was missed. Overall the move to the new building was very positive for the future.

Here is the official NNL East website, with the results. 1234 models, 982 attendees. Many photo albums to see. I hope Gary Kulchock can make it to our show this year so we can see his VW and that killer derelict Cadillac :D
